A century-long history
The Hotel España in Lanjarón has all the character and charm of its 100 years of history. It has been a meeting place for many famous people since 1917, the year the hotel opened. We are proud to have been the hotel of choice of the Federico García Lorca fa mily who holidayed there for more than a decade as well as being a romantic refuge for the bullfighter Manolete and his girlfriend Lupe Sino.
After more 100 years of offering hospitality, the hotel now combines an armosphere of “old world” charm with the comforts and services expected of a modern hotel. It includes a Bar – Restaurant, a swimming pool and gardens, 33 rooms, terraces as well as facilities for hosting events and celebrations.
Situated in Lanjarón only 50 metres from the Balneario de Lanjarón and close to the Sierra Nevada National Park, in an environment of spectacular natural beauty. It´s only a half hour drive from Granada, the Alpujarras and the “Costa Tropical”.
Staff are happy to help organise interesting excursions to neighbouring spots including the ” Cuatro Vientos Winery” , in the heart of the Alpujarras, the Witches circuit in Soportujar, the Honey Museum, the Water Museum, and many more as well as adventure sports and guided treks, etc.
